Courtney Trimmer
Last Name: L-Z 6th, and all 7th grade
Ms. Trimmer has been a counselor in LTISD for 15 years and is excited to join the BCMS team this year. She was at LPE prior to spending the past 12 years as the counselor of BCE. She is so grateful for the opportunity to continue working with the students and parents she's known throughout the years. She was a middle school counselor in Dallas previously where her school received the Texas School of Character award. She also received the Jesus Juarez Emerging Leader award from the Texas Counseling Association for her work in bullying prevention. From presenting at state conferences to supervising counseling intern students, she loves to inspire others in their work with children. She believes in a proactive, school wide approach to giving students the social and emotional tools they need to thrive. She also supports the mental health of students by not only offering them a warm, welcoming environment to talk, but also by collaborating with teachers and parents for student success and well being.
